Roane General Hospital Foundation

Within Roane County is one hospital, Roane General Hospital. This is a not-for-profit Hospital which has served the community for nearly 30 years.

Several community leaders formed the Roane General Hospital Foundation to benefit the hospital and to assist with community health care needs. The intent of the Foundation is to provide the public with an opportunity to support healthcare services in the community.

Without public support and community involvement, access to healthcare services at the local level may be lost. This will force individuals to either go without healthcare services or travel to other communities. Parkersburg and Charleston are both approximately 1.5 hours driving time. Given our aging population and the limited incomes of our citizens, travel may not be an alternative.
