Obstetrics

The Obstetrics Department at Roane General Hospital is designed to make you feel more at home during your labor, delivery and recovery.  We believe in family-centered maternity care and the fulfillment of the birthing experience.  Our goal is to ensure family involvement throughout the mother/baby stay so that the new mother and her family will feel confident once leaving our facility.

The department consists of three birthing suites that allow a patient to labor, deliver, recover, and spend postpartum all in the same room.   The suites contain birthing beds, fetal monitors, newborn care equipment and a private bath and shower.  Our nursery is equipped with incubators and monitors for the newborn that needs advanced care.
