Acute Care

The Acute Care unit at Roane General
Hospital
is committed to providing quality health services to our community.
The unit provides services to patients recovering
from medical illness, injury, disease or surgical procedures.
The unit features 22 patient beds and the patient
population ranges from newborn to geriatric.
The Acute Care unit delivers care through an
interdisciplinary team approach.
We utilize the expertise of the physician, nurses,
pharmacists, social worker, respiratory and physical therapists and all other
disciplines throughout the organization.
The goal of the Acute Care staff is to assist the
patient in attaining their optimal level of health.
The Acute Care unit offers smoking cessation counseling,
dietary counseling (when ordered by a physician) and medication counseling.
In order to ensure continuation of a patient’s care,
the staff of the Acute Care unit will make arrangements for transfer to another
facility if a differing level of services is required or if healthcare
assistance will be needed once leaving our facility.
Visiting Hours: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Children under 12 are not permitted to visit.
